Hayley Roberts

Hi, I’m Hayley Roberts, a Nashville based, Pop singer songwriter, originally from Pennsylvania. I’m currently studying songwriting and audio engineering at Belmont University. I love writing songs and performing every chance I get. 

 

I have been on this amazing musical adventure since I was 8 years old. My goal is to infuse pop music with a positive vibe rising out of a relatable personal story. As a young girl riding around in my dad’s truck we listened to classic storytellers like Billy Joel, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Elton John, Carol King, Annie Lennox, Bob Dylan, Harry Chapin, and Jackson Browne. My pop influences include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Bebe Rexha, Selena Gomez, Kelly Clarkson, Shawn Mendes, and many other artists who mix storytelling with a positive message. 

 

One of my favorite things to do with a song is to change the perspective and tell the story from an unexpected point of view. I have taken sad and heartbreaking stories and flipped them into happy, feel-good songs. I want my audience to relate to the people, emotions, and images in my songs. The stories I tell are from my own life experiences or from the lives of close friends. I tend to be a very upbeat person that writes story songs from a slightly different point of view, with catchy melodies and choruses you want to sing out loud with your friends in the car.

 

I am always writing new songs and I’m looking forward to releasing new music sometime in the fall now that I'm currently back in the studio. I have been playing writers nights across Nashville this year and can't wait to meet all of you. As always, I have free stickers for those who come out to support live music.
